How many types of user classes can DynusT work with?

DynusT can support up to 10 user classes, providing users with substantial flexibility to handle a wide range of scenarios pertaining to physical properties, road pricing, turning restriction, road accessibility, and more, by vehicle type. Performance measures such as travel time, travel speed, vehicle miles traveled, and delay time can be reported and visualized separately for each user class.

Here is an example from a recent Metropia project:

  • User Class 1 reflects SOVs not paying a toll if entering a managed lane

  • User Class 2 reflects trucks

  • User Class 3 reflects HOVs with 1 passenger and not paying a toll if entering a managed lane

  • User Class 4 reflects trucks that are not allowed to enter downtown if both the origin and the destination are outside the downtown area

  • User Class 5 reflects SOVs paying a toll if entering a managed lane

  • User Class 6 reflects HOVs with 1 passenger and paying a toll if entering a managed lane

  • User Class 7 reflects HOV with 2 passengers and not paying a toll if entering a managed lane.

  • User Class 8 reflects HOV with 2 passengers and paying a toll if entering a managed lane.
